Let´s talk about celery and how this herb can help you if you're suffering from hypothyroidism or poor thyroid function.
I drink about 1-2 glasses of celery juice every day on an empty stomach and it has some great impact on my thyroid function. How? Celery is a very powerful antioxidant full of enzymes and coenzymes that is needed for a whole different functions in the body. Celery has great antibacterial characteristics and helps your good bacteria and starves the unproductive bacteria in your gut. It also alkalizes the gut due to the high bio active sodium. It raises the bodys hydrochloric acid so your body can digest the food more easily. With age the bodys own production of hydrochloric acid slows down, and celery juice can help with that, so your body can breakdown the food properly and absorb all the important nutrients. creamy over night chia pudding is one of my to go breakfasts and I love it because it is healthy, filling, free of dairy and makes me feel so good.
You can make it in the evening before you go to bed and have it ready the next morning.
I normally place it in small little glass jars so we can take our breakfast with us if we're having a busy morning. Or if we just want to bring it as a snack during the day.
Chia seeds are one of my fav seeds since they're so nutrient dense and packed with vitamins, minerals, protein and good fats.
Celery is rich in vitamins and minerals well needed such as magnesium, iron and vitamin A, B, C, E and folic acid.
If you´re feeling discomfort or bloated lately, I can really recommend having a large glass of celery juice every morning after waking up on an empty stomach. It helps so much with better digestion AND you´ll feel less bloating.
Celery also helps with water retention since it´s diuretic and can help you if you´re feeling bloated or sluggish.
Celery drink recipe:
2 celery sticks
3 dl water
Half squeezed lemon
Option: Add a pinch of chlorella for that extra detox effect.
Mix everything together in a blender and enjoy!
